活動簡介 / Introduction:
尼康小世界攝影比賽（Nikon Small World Competition）自1975年創立，旨在表彰使用光學顯微鏡拍攝的傑出攝影作品。此比賽已成為科學攝影與顯微攝影的領導平台，吸引來自各科學領域的專業人士和愛好者參與。
The Nikon Small World Competition, established in 1975, aims to recognize outstanding photography captured using optical microscopes. It has become a leading platform for scientific and microscopic photography, attracting professionals and enthusiasts from various scientific fields.

活動主題 / Theme:
接受以光學顯微鏡拍攝的各類題材作品，包含相差、偏振光、螢光、干涉對比、暗場、共聚焦、去卷積等技術，要求作品能展示顯微攝影的美感及科學價值。
Entries must be captured using optical microscopes and can employ techniques such as phase contrast, polarized light, fluorescence, interference contrast, darkfield, confocal, or deconvolution. Submissions should showcase the beauty and scientific value of microscopic photography.

參賽資格 / Eligibility:

• 年滿18歲的個人均可參賽。
• 參賽者需具備使用光學顯微鏡的能力。
• 尼康公司員工及其代理機構、附屬公司或競爭性顯微鏡或相機製造商的員工及其直系親屬不得參賽。
  Participants must be 18 years or older.
  Entrants must have the ability to use an optical microscope.
  Employees of Nikon, its affiliates, or competitive microscope/camera manufacturers, as well as their immediate family members, are ineligible to participate.

報名時間 / Entry Period:
2024年9月1日 凌晨12:00（美國東部時間）至 2025年4月30日 晚上11:59（美國東部時間）。
From September 1, 2024, 12:00 AM (ET) to April 30, 2025, 11:59 PM (ET).

評審時間 / Judging Period:
報名截止後，由評審團對所有符合資格的作品進行評選。
After the entry deadline, judges will review all eligible submissions.

公布得獎名單 / Announcement of Winners:
預計於2025年8月15日通知潛在得獎者，並於2025年10月15日正式公布得獎名單。
Potential winners will be notified around August 15, 2025, and the official results will be announced on October 15, 2025.

報名方式 / Submission Method:
參賽者需前往比賽官網（https://enter.nikonsmallworld.com/），填寫參賽表格並上傳最多三張透過光學顯微鏡拍攝的數碼照片。參賽者可選擇註冊賬戶以便隨時更新參賽作品。
Participants must visit the competition website (https://enter.nikonsmallworld.com/), complete the entry form, and upload up to three digital images taken with an optical microscope. Entrants may register an account to update their entries before the deadline.

評審規範 / Judging Criteria:
由尼康選定的獨立評審團根據以下標準對作品進行評審：
Judging will be conducted by an independent panel selected by Nikon, based on the following criteria:

• 技術熟練度 / Technical Proficiency
• 藝術性與視覺衝擊力 / Artistic Quality and Visual Impact

評分標準 / Evaluation Standards:
評審團將綜合考慮上述標準，對所有參賽作品進行全方位評估，並選出前20名優勝者及其他特別獎項。
The judging panel will evaluate all entries comprehensively, considering the above standards, and select the top 20 winners along with additional special awards.
