The Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize is a biennial art award that promotes and celebrates the practice of self-portraiture. It encourages artists to submit original and innovative self-portraits that explore personal identity, expression, and the human experience. The competition accepts various forms of visual art, including painting, photography, sculpture, and digital media, encouraging diverse interpretations of the self.

活動主題：
比賽主題為自畫像創作，作品應詮釋藝術家的自我形象，無論是具象或抽象，單人或群體，從生活或記憶中創作皆可。媒材不限，包括但不限於繪畫、素描、數位藝術、攝影、雕塑、織品和陶瓷等。
The competition focuses on self-portraiture, with works interpreting the artist's self-image, whether figurative or abstract, solo or in a group, created from life or memory. All media are accepted, including but not limited to painting, drawing, digital art, photography, sculpture, textiles, and ceramics.

參賽資格：
年滿16歲的藝術家皆可參加，包括專業藝術家、新興藝術家和學生。在特殊情況下，16歲以下的參賽者也可能被考慮，建議聯繫主辦方以了解更多資訊。
Artists aged 16 and above are eligible to participate, including professionals, emerging artists, and students. In exceptional circumstances, those under 16 may also be considered; it is advisable to contact the organizers for more information.

報名方式：
所有參賽作品必須通過Zealous線上平台提交，詳細的提交指南和報名表格可在該平台上找到。請確保作品符合自畫像主題，媒材和尺寸不限。
All entries must be submitted online via the Zealous platform, where detailed submission guidelines and entry forms can be found. Ensure that the work aligns with the self-portrait theme; there are no restrictions on medium or size.

評審規範：
作品將由一個傑出的評審團審閱，成員包括電視主持人兼喜劇演員Alan Carr、保羅·梅隆中心主任Dr. Sarah Turner、英國藝術收藏家兼商人Simon Vincent CBE、文化領袖兼作家Sir Peter Bazalgette、前獲獎者兼國際知名藝術家Colin Davidson，以及博查德家族的一名成員。
Submissions will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of judges, including television presenter and comedian Alan Carr, Director of the Paul Mellon Centre Dr. Sarah Turner, British art collector and businessman Simon Vincent CBE, cultural leader and author Sir Peter Bazalgette, previous prize winner and internationally renowned artist Colin Davidson, and a member of the Borchard family.

評分標準：
評審將根據作品的創意、技術技巧、主題深度以及對自畫像主題的詮釋進行評分。作品應展示藝術家的個人視角和對自我表達的獨特詮釋。
Judging will be based on creativity, technical skill, thematic depth, and interpretation of the self-portrait theme. Works should demonstrate the artist's personal perspective and unique approach to self-expression.

獎金：£10,000
展覽機會：獲獎者將有機會在南安普敦市藝術畫廊展出作品，入圍作品將被納入備受尊敬的群展中。
Prize Money: £10,000
Exhibition Opportunity: The winner will have the opportunity to exhibit their work at Southampton City Art Gallery, and shortlisted entries will be included in a highly respected group exhibition.
